Alignment, Autonomy and Accountability
We get the best out of each other and our teams when we are all pulling in the same direction, can make quick decisions, and commit to doing what we said we would.
I believe the best teams are the ones that trust each other, are aligned in their goals and focus on impact. I don't believe in "productivity" for productivities sake. We shouldn't build because we can, we should build because it moves us forward.

The fastest way to burn teams out is to have them pushing to deliver work with no impact. Teams should see the outcomes of their work and be able to trust that what you ask them to do is impactful.
All leaders have a respobsibility to grow their teams, even if that might ultimately lead to them leaving.
I work hard to make sure teams understand thde “why,” not just the ticket in front of them. When people have context and ownership, they do their best work. My role is to create that environment — and step in hands-on when it genuinely adds value.
I’m quietly confident rather than loudly opinionated. I’ll challenge unclear thinking and inefficient processes, but I do it pragmatically and with respect. Leadership, to me, is a craft: it’s about building strong systems and strong people at the same time.
Designing scalable, resilient platforms
Creating infrastructure and data capabilities that support better decisions
Using AI as an amplifier of people and process, not a replacement for them
Growing engineers — particularly junior talent — into confident, capable professionals
Building better processes rather than defending inherited ones
I’m energised by complexity, collaborative problem-solving, and working with teams who care about quality.
Above all, I want the work I’m involved in to leave things better than they were before — whether that’s a system, a team, or an organisation.
