So I've minted my first NFT.

It was on a testnet, so supposed it's not really an NFT, but having started as a Web3 sceptic it's a big step.

Starting to understand all the elements of what web3 means has been a bit of an eye opener. From ERCs to what a smart contract actually involves. Remix, Solidity, all the bits in between.

Still a long way to go, but between these exercises, the Web3 Academy podcasts and Shermin Vosmgir's book, I'm stating to understand Crypto and NFTs are just the tip of the iceberg.

I don't think NFTs are necessarily the way that a lot of people are going to make money from Web3, and actually, although the financial possibilities do get the most press we're still a long way from figuring out what Web3 means for people who don't want the risks that come with Crypto investment, or have the artistic skills to make money from NFTs.
